The Secret Garden is one of two walled gardens within Quex Park it has had a rich and varied history, supplying the family and staff with fresh produce and flowers and then being used to house the Quex bulls Boris and Nick. As well as a horticultural training centre. The Secret Garden as we know it was started in 2000 the garden centre grew and flourished and by 2023 they were ready to pass the batton
Currently we are family run plant nursery and garden centre striving to provide our customers with the highest quality of home grown plants and quirky decor. Since starting we have learnt a phenomenal amount about the horticultural industry and are striving to reimagine the possibilities of The Secret Garden. We aim to keep it a beautiful sanctuary of growth and wellbeing for all members of the community and when you wish to shop we can provide a gloriously presented deli of plants, to serve you and your garden

Everything is growth in small batches and meticulously looked after by our guru grower Nick with over 50 years of experience
Why we grow
With an ever changing industry and the increasing amounts of waste in the horticultural industry we are doing what we can to keep our small nursery operating to help every plant survive and thrive. This also allows us to choose the right plants for the local area, grow them in nutrient rich soil, expose them to the local climate fluctuations, and once they have rooted into their pot they are ready for your garden.
